After their joint trip to Nepal in 2013, the married couple Josefin and Christian Kirsch (from Frankfurt am Main) as well as Tim Bertko (from Berlin) returned enthusiastically and touched at the same time. Especially impressed by the cordiality, the cosmopolitanism and the tolerance of the Nepalese people, the desire arose to give something back and to help.
Finally in 2014 our former NGO (non-governmental organization) Project Nepal was founded. Through multiple volunteer work in the CHHAHARI orphanage and medical internships in the Model Hospital with Dr. Manoj, new friendships developed. These close relationships and the trust we have gained continue to provide us with a high degree of transparency. We can guarantee that really every help reaches our friends and those in need!
With many years of enthusiasm and passion, many people have been infected by Project Nepal and some successful fundraising campaigns have been carried out for the benefit of the children.
In 2018 the next milestone followed: Tim Bertko took over the chairmanship of the organization and the “Project Nepal” was founded as a non-profit association (Project Nepal e.V.) with ten active members. Thus we can help from Germany even more effectively and purposefully.
We are happy about companions and any further help for our young friends from Nepal!
